We've heard the sad news that Bill Oliver died this evening (23rd March) at the Royal Berks Hospital where he had been in intensive care following a second heart attack.
Bill was variously our umpire, groundsman, mechanic and supporter over many years. We'll miss him.
As soon as we know more about funeral arrangements we will let you know.

Wednesdays 24th Feb to 27th April
This year we are taking advantage of our contacts in Moulsford, and will be using the hall at Moulsford Prep School. We get use of the whole hall, so we can adjust the nets to suit the number of people who turn up each week, or maybe even have an indoor game. The sessions will run from Weds 24th Feb to 27th April inclusive, from 8.30 to 9.30pm. As we need to put the nets out ourselves, please turn up a couple of minutes early to do this.
Moulsford School is on the east side of the A329 (at the far end of Moulsford, on the right as you drive from Aldworth towards Cholsey. (Cranford House School is on the left, don't go there!). Please park in the car park near the road and walk towards the river to the hall, which is at the far end of the school buildings.
Please encourage everyone to come along, and if you know of any juniors or anyone else who would like to join in, bring them too.

The AGM this year will as usual be at The Bell on Thursday 12th November 2015, starting at 8.00pm.
All club members and players are encouraged to attend. Also welcome are supporters, potential players and anyone else who wants to come along.

Aldworth Colts, Tuesday evenings, 18:15-20:00
All junior cricketers in the area are invited to join us at a Colts session every Tuesday evening, with an emphasis on allowing youngsters to enjoy cricket. Please encourage anyone between the ages of 9-15 to come along and join us!

The cricket season is about to start, and it is time once again for our traditional start of season intra club match. For those who haven't been before, we pick two teams from those who turn up, drink, eat and generally have fun. Somewhere in there we fit in a Twentyfour24 type game, everyone gets to bat and bowl...
Everyone is very welcome - players, spectators, and anyone interested in playing for the club. Just turn up at the recreation ground (or in The Bell beforehand!). There will be beer, wine and soft drinks available during the day, and a barbecue following the match (£5/head to help with the club finances). A salad or a pudding would be gratefully received. No need to let us know if you are coming (though if you are bringing a salad/pudding it would be helpful if you could tell us).

We have 2 nets from 8.15 - 9.15 on the following dates:

Wednesdays 4 & 11 March 2015
We hope to see as many players as possible, older and younger, hoping to see juniors and colts
New faces will also be especially welcomed!

CANCELLED due to the pitch being unpayable
